Getting Free Traffic

As I mentioned earlier, to get free traffic you have to do two things. They are on-page optimization and off-page optimization.On this page I will be going in depth about these two things.

On-Page Optimization

Below is a list of some of the important on-page factors one by one

  1. The keyword should be in the domain name. This is the first thing you should do if you want to rank high in search engines. When you do some searches you will see that the domains which have the keyword in the domain rank high. If you want to have a look, go to Google and search for the following keywords  -  usb headset, hand exerciser. for the first keyword, the first search result is a site with the exact keyword in the domain. For the second keyword, you will see a domain name with exact keyword on 4th or 5th position. There are similarly many keywords for which domain names with exact keywords rank on first page of google. You should definitely take advantage of that.
  2. The keyword should appear in the title of your website.
  3. It should come in the meta description of your website.
  4. You should try to get the keyword in the first paragraph of your site and also in the last paragraph. In the middle you can try and get it for 2 or 3 times.
  5. When you use the keywords, you should make it bold or italic or underline it because search engines give some importance to those things.
  6. If you use a picture on your website, then you should make the alt text for the image as the keyword.
  7. The links on your website should be given to good and high quality sites. You should never link to crappy websites.

Off-Page Optimization

There are thousands of different ways to do the off-page optimization. The most important thing you should remember is that you should get backlinks from other websites with anchor text as the keyword over your url.  To get links naturally from other websites, you should create a site with good information. If your site is good then other people will want to link to your site.

  2. Article directories
  3. Blog comments
  4. Social Bookmarking sites
